First Home Buyers in Metropolitan Melbourne can apply for a $10,000 First Home Buyers Grant. The regional grant has been reduced from $20,000 to $10,000 from 1 July 2021.

The amount paid for the home, that is the contract price for construction when building the home, must be $750,000 or less.

Stamp duty concessions are currently available for first home buyers. Purchasers buying homes under $600,000 will not need to pay stamp duty and those purchasing homes up to $750,000 can benefit from a partial stamp duty concession.
